Payment

For clients using insurance, I am in-network with the plans listed above for weekly therapy.

For all other services, I remain a private-pay provider. My fee is $195 for a 55-minute session.

If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill for reimbursement (this does require a DSM-5 diagnosis).

Please note that I am unable to provide services to clients with Medicaid, as Medicaid requires care through in-network providers.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining the expected cost of your care.

Under federal law, healthcare providers must provide this estimate to clients who are not using insurance. This includes the total expected cost of services.

You can request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your estimate, you have the right to dispute it.

You will receive this information in writing through your intake documents.

EMDR

What is EMDR?

EMDR stands for eye movement desensitization and reprocessing. EMDR can help people heal from events that were and continue to be emotionally disturbing or stressful. Learn more about the 8 phases to the EMDR model.

What is the science behind EMDR?

EMDR was discovered in 1987 and over 30 controlled studies have been done since then showing EMDR as one of the most effective ways to help people heal from trauma, stress and emotional disturbance. It is recognized by the American Psychiatric Association, World Health Organization and Department of Defense as an effective form of treatment for trauma and other disturbing experiences.

Here is a sampling of results from studies that have been done on EMDR:

  • Between 84%-90% of single-trauma survivors no longer have post-traumatic stress disorder after only three 90-minute sessions.

  • A study, funded by the HMO Kaiser Permanente, found that 100% of the single-trauma survivors and 77% of multiple trauma survivors no longer were diagnosed with PTSD after only six 50-minute sessions.

  • In another study, 77% of combat veterans were free of PTSD in 12 sessions.

But, I don’t think I have experienced a trauma.

In the most traditional sense, trauma is anytime we have experienced something life-threatening. However, most of us have had something stressful happen in our lives that we just can’t seem to shake. For example, you may struggle with negative body image, a phobia, sleep issues, worry, or unhealthy relationship patterns.

Trauma is better described as anytime we have experienced something adverse and our central nervous systems continue to experience the stress even after the event is over. Adverse life experiences can look like Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or a variety of other conditions such as anxiety, depression, and eating disorders . EMDR helps to heal this stress and build resilience so you can experience healing.

Appointments can be requested through this site, or by reaching out directly via phone or email.

Standard sessions are 53 minutes.
EMDR intensives vary in length depending on the structure and goals of the work.

Do you offer online counseling?
Yes. I offer virtual sessions through a HIPAA-compliant platform called SimplePractice.

Do you offer an initial consultation?

What is your cancellation policy?
You must cancel or reschedule 48 hours in advance of the session. Not doing so will result in being charged the full fee.

What type of clients do you work with?
I primarily work with adults and some children.

In my practice, I work with individuals across a range of identities, backgrounds, and experiences. Much of my work is with high-functioning individuals who are managing a lot on the outside, but feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unable to shift certain patterns internally.

What is your approach?
My work is trauma-informed and tailored to how your system is functioning — not just a one-size-fits-all model.

I primarily draw from:

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

  • Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)

These approaches are integrated based on what will actually create movement, rather than relying on a single method.

Do you work with OCD?

Yes.

OCD doesn’t always look the way people expect. A lot of what I see shows up as:

  • overthinking that doesn’t resolve

  • mental loops you can’t get out of

  • needing certainty before making decisions

  • intrusive thoughts that don’t match who you are

This is often mistaken for anxiety, but it requires a different approach. I use ERP alongside trauma-focused work when appropriate to help interrupt the cycle rather than reinforce it.

How long will it take?
The length of therapy depends on a number of factors, including your goals, what’s contributing to the patterns you’re experiencing, and the type of work we choose (weekly sessions vs intensives).

We’ll talk through this together and create a plan that fits what you’re looking for.

Are you licensed?
Yes, I am a licensed clinical social worker in the states of Colorado, Utah and Florida.

If you’re ready for more than just getting by—if you’re ready for real relief and a renewed connection to yourself—let’s talk.

I offer therapy to adults in Colorado and Florida, and a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
