EMDR Intensives

Private, Accelerated Trauma Treatment for High-Achievers and Executives

A modern wooden house set on a hillside with tall grass, overlooking a lake and distant mountains under a cloudy sky.

Focused trauma work designed for real, lasting change.

When your mind is sharp but your body won’t stand down, you feel it. You’re functioning — showing up, achieving, keeping everything moving — but something underneath won’t settle. Maybe it shows up as tension you can’t shake, irritability you can’t explain, anxiety that makes no sense, or exhaustion that doesn’t improve even when you try to rest.

Weekly therapy can help with insight and coping, but it doesn’t always get to the deeper patterns your nervous system has been running for years. Sometimes you need focused, uninterrupted time to actually shift the things you’ve been managing, avoiding, or white-knuckling your way through.

An EMDR Intensive gives you the space, time, and support to finally do that. It’s accelerated, private, and designed for people who don’t have months to wait to feel like themselves again.

When you’ve done “everything right” and still feel stuck.

Are you a high-functioning professional, executive, or trauma survivor looking for a faster path to healing? My EMDR intensives provide deep, efficient trauma treatment in just one to three days — without sacrificing quality, privacy, or results.

I specialize in EMDR therapy for high-achievers, caretakers, athletes, and out-of-state clients, and those seeking privacy and lasting change.

Why Clients Choose Trauma Intensives:

  • Faster breakthroughs than weekly therapy

  • Customized, trauma-informed treatment

  • Ideal for busy professionals and executives

  • Private, discreet setting with flexible scheduling

  • EMDR therapy for PTSD, burnout, anxiety, and life transitions

This is more than just a session — it’s a carefully structured, high-impact experience.

Each intensive includes:

  • 30-Minute Consultation Call
A brief, focused call to determine whether an EMDR Intensive is the right fit for your history, goals, and nervous system needs.

  • Comprehensive EMDR Workbook
A guided workbook you complete beforehand that helps us identify themes, patterns, targets, and the deeper layers your system has been carrying. This gives us a clear, grounded starting point for your intensive.

  • 90-Minute Preparation Session
Once your workbook is complete, we meet for a dedicated 90-minute session to review everything, build safety and resourcing, and map out the structure of your intensive so you feel prepared and supported before the deeper work begins.

  • Half-Day or Multi-Day EMDR Intensive
Your intensive itself — a private, focused block of EMDR and somatic work where we move at your system’s pace, with the time and space needed to create real momentum and lasting change. Offered both in-person and virtually, though I recommend in-person for longer or more complex work.

  • 90-Minute Integration & Follow-Up Session (Two Weeks After the Intensive)
Two weeks after your intensive, we meet for a 90-minute follow-up session to support full integration. This gives your system time to settle, reflect, and strengthen the gains made during your intensive. It allows us to reinforce the shifts, address anything that surfaced afterward, and create a grounded plan for moving forward.

  • Collaboration with Your Primary Therapist (Optional)
If you’re already working with another therapist, and with your consent, I can coordinate care to help everything fit together seamlessly.

This is focused, executive-level trauma work designed to create deep shifts without months of weekly sessions.

Flying in for EMDR Therapy?

Many high-achieving clients travel in from out of state for private, focused trauma work. My office in Clermont, Florida offers a calm, discreet environment that makes it easier for your nervous system to settle and go deeper without the overwhelm of a busy city.

If you’re flying in, we’ll schedule your intensive so you have time to arrive, get grounded, and complete your work without rushing. Your 90-minute integration session takes place two weeks after your intensive, so you can return home, allow your system to settle, and then integrate the work fully with support.

I can recommend preferred local lodging and schedule your intensive to minimize disruption to your work/weekend.

Longer intensives (2–3 days) are best completed in person, though virtual intensives are available when clinically appropriate.

Your privacy matters.

I work with executives, physicians, and leaders who require absolute discretion. You deserve a space that’s confidential, supportive, and tailored to your needs.

What is an EMDR Intensive?

An EMDR Intensive condenses months of therapy into focused, extended sessions. Rather than spreading your healing out over many weeks, intensives give you the time and space to dive in, process deeply, and shift long-held patterns in a more immediate and sustained way.

You’ll walk away with powerful insights, emotional clarity, and practical resources you can use beyond our time together.

Why Choose an Intensive Instead of Weekly Therapy?

Weekly 50-minute therapy is helpful—but it has limitations. EMDR Intensives offer:

  • Fewer interruptions: No need to stop just as you’re getting to the heart of it

  • Faster results: Skip the weekly check-ins and dive straight into the healing work.

  • Flexibility: Intensives are tailored to your schedule and needs.

  • Deep focus: Dedicated time to address what’s really keeping you stuck.

Clients often find that what might take months in weekly therapy can happen in just a few hours or days with an intensive.

What’s the difference between weekly therapy and an EMDR Intensive?

Weekly therapy offers support in shorter bursts — helpful for ongoing stress, but often too spaced out for deeper trauma work. In an EMDR Intensive, you spend several concentrated hours resourcing, processing, and integrating without interruptions. This allows your nervous system to stay in a focused rhythm long enough to make meaningful progress. It’s the difference between trying to build momentum in 50-minute increments versus actually having enough time to shift what’s been stuck.

How fast can I expect results?

Many clients report relief — emotional, physical, or both — within the intensive itself or in the days immediately following. Others notice a steady “loosening” of long-held tension in the weeks afterward. Every system is different, so I never promise instant transformation, but I can tell you this: concentrated EMDR work creates change much faster than traditional weekly sessions because your nervous system finally has the uninterrupted space to process instead of resetting every seven days.

Do you offer virtual EMDR Intensives?

Yes — I offer EMDR Intensives both in person and virtually. Virtual intensives can be a great fit if you live outside the Clermont area or prefer to work from the privacy of your own space.

For longer or more complex intensives, I typically recommend coming in person. Being in a fully contained, supportive environment helps your nervous system stay grounded and makes it easier to go deeper without interruption. But ultimately, we’ll choose the format that best supports your goals, your availability, and your comfort.

What if I get overwhelmed or activated during the intensive?

Intensives are designed with your safety in mind. We move at your system’s pace — not a forced one. You are guided through grounding, resourcing, and regulation before any deeper work begins. Throughout the intensive, we monitor your window of tolerance closely and adjust as needed. You will not be pushed to “power through” anything. The goal is lasting change, not overwhelm.

How do I know if an intensive is the right fit for me?

If you’re high-functioning on the outside but carrying things internally that haven’t shifted despite your best efforts — an intensive is often a good fit. It’s especially helpful if you’ve done therapy before, understand yourself well, and are ready for deeper work instead of more strategies, coping skills, or insight.

Who Can Benefit from EMDR Intensives?

EMDR helps reduce psychological and physical symptoms stemming from adverse life experiences—but it’s not just for trauma. Intensives can also be a powerful tool for:

  • High-achievers and performers seeking mental clarity and confidence

  • Individuals navigating grief, loss, or life transitions

  • People struggling with anxiety, depression, or burnout

  • Those with complex trauma who are ready to go deeper

  • Anyone wanting to fast-track their healing

Clients often find that what might take months in weekly therapy can happen in just a few hours or days with an intensive.

Already in Therapy? EMDR Intensives Can Work Alongside It.

You don’t have to choose between your current therapist and an intensive. Many clients use EMDR Intensives as “adjunct therapy”—especially if they’ve reached a plateau or are seeking a different modality.

We’ll collaborate with your existing therapist to make sure the work we do supports your broader healing journey.

Can Insurance Help Cover It?

Yes—many insurance companies offer “out-of-network reimbursement”

I’ll provide a detailed Superbill for all direct therapy hours, so you can submit it to your insurer. Be sure to check with your provider in advance to confirm coverage.

What If I’m Not Ready For an Intensive?

I also offer weekly trauma-focused therapy.
